WTB: RHD Bosch H1 OR H4 headlights for 68 911s

Hello all, just as per the title really, my 68s has lhd Bosch H1 Headlights and I would like to fit some rhd versions. I believe I can use H4's as well if need be. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in Manchester, England.

    Thanks

    Alfie,

The only difference between LHD an RHD H1's and H4's for that matter is the lense.

The H4's have a different light pattern, as the H1 utilized individual globes for high and low.

    Just fit these.

They are repo's as RHD H1 lenses were a rare beast, which is why a lot of people converted to the H4's in the first place.

Make sure to order the seal that goes around the glass ( hiddden by the trim) as these protect the edge of the lense, and are probably perished from heat cycles.

    Hope that helps.

Tony, thanks for the advice, I'd posted on ddk earlier this week and had a similar response. I'm just not 100% sure if you need to adjust the reflectors as well, or indeed if you can adjust the reflectors to changevthevdirection of the beam.
I'll take a lens off at the weekend and see what's going on.

    Alfa,

Once you get the new lenses, they are fairly easy to set up.

The lense is what stops the light from shining into on coming traffic.

There is a write up in the workshop manuals and Haines I think, if you don't have them, i can post the page latter for you, but basically park the car in front of a wall, and turn the lights on, and use the adjustment screws to adjust the height of each beam, for both low and high.
