Cleaning external cooler hard lines ...

Bought a used external cooler setup for the 73S. Any suggestions on cleaning the tubing internally?

Unsure of how long the donor car was inop.

I was recommended to use foaming Gunk followed by a hot water flush. This worked pretty well. I have also used mineral spirits with capped ends and a soak/slosh/soak method. When done hang them up for a while to drain.

For the outside I used stainless steel pot scrubber mesh and mineral spirits. Wurth self etching primer and a light coat of black Krylon. Bare is ok, but black stays nice looking longer imho and doesn't hurt the heat dissipation.

You are going to like the lower oil temps, and the higher oil pressure that comes with the package. And you gain a couple of quarts of oil which helps everything some more...

Thanks for the cleaning suggestions. I like the clean look of the black lines, low maintenance (and potential heat dissipation).
