I'm doing a full restoration on a 73.5 911 T & I was wondering that what would be the right decision to paint it the original sephia brown or paint a color that is more desirable, for the future if I would like to sell it some day ? Thanks guys

If you're building the car for you, paint it what you like.
For someone else/selling soon/flipping, paint a current desirable colour.
Myself, I would go with the original Sepia
my brothers '70T and my '73T have both had a colour change twice, we are both going back to the original colours
If you ask the question, go original.

You're on the wrong forum to ask whether a color change is a good idea.
The general consensus with regard to value is: go with original.
If you don't care about a value hit, paint it whatcha like.

I tough this is the best forum to ask questions about early 911's ! thanks guys
Hands down the best Longhood forum out there. I'm just referring to how originality/correctness obsessed we tend to be as a group.
That said, Sepia is back in vogue you know.

Colors go in and out of style.
Except Sepia Brown.
Kidding.
Or maybe not.

A $10,000 color change might look good. Original is always best. I would not have purchased my Point 5 if it had a mediocre color change (that is if I could tell it was changed). I was not a "collector" at the time of purchase. I just know junky paint jobs on otherwise nice cars and how difficult they are to correct.

I would change it myself. But if you're concerned about the future value, then keep it original.
