Suggestions for butchered sport seat bases

    Hi all

I inherited a set of double locking sport seat bases when I bought my car and have been trying to work out if they are worth saving or not. I really would like to as they are the original to my car but im not sure how to go about it.
They have had the tilt mechanisms removed and had extra tabs welded on for modern race seats. Removing the tabs isnt a problem but im struggling to find the tilt part.

Ive purchased one side but from looking at pictures im pretty sure its for the SWB sport seat bases.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Andrew

I have just recently restored a set of sport seat pedestal mounts and tilt mechanisms ,the piece your missing is the actual seat attachment points and hinges
which mount from the front similar to a SWB mount ,here's a photo or two...Bert

    Thanks for that.
Is someone able to give me the dimensions of the actual tilt part for the LWB sport seat base? I have pictures of the SWB base but I believe they are a slightly different size. Does that sound correct?

I think what you have is pretty similar dimensionally, the LWB tilt mechanism uses the same parts just two tabs tack welded at the front pivot point and the
side frame mounts are removed the other structure handles fore and aft adjustment and attachment to the chassis rails..
    Hope this helps, Bert

    Andrew,
Email me and we can organise a day next month when I'm in leave. I'll bring the S down and we can take one of my sport seats out for you to measure up and photograph.

    Cheers
