FS: Porsche 356 Moto Chron Watch

    Hi All,

Here for sale is my 356 Moto Chron watch. As you can see from the photos it's in as new condition and has its box. These haven't been available since the early 1990's and are now very rare in this condition. I wanted to list this on the 356 Registry Forum, but bizarrely you can't advertise watches! Works great and keeps perfect time as you'd expect. I'm looking for $1000 or nearest offer.

    Thanks
    David

I bought a Moto Chron watch through the 356 Registry classifieds a while ago. I can't understand why you can't advertise it there.

    Regards

    Hi Jim,

It is daft. It might be to do with generic watch sales, but when I pointed out that this would be of specific interest to 356 enthusiasts, he agreed, but went in to say the rules were the rules. They'd already pulled my ad within like 20 minutes.

I was temped to list it as a wrist mounted speedometer

A 356 Moto Chron watch should meet every criteria for the lit and memorabilia section. There are all sorts of oddball things in there. None of which were made by Porsche.

    Ciao

Yep, that's what I thought and is exactly where I put it.

Here's the section in the T&C's from the 356 registry: "Do not post ads for any type of generic services, employee announcements or associations, transportation/hauling, driving schools or services, garage sales, swap meets, events or tickets to events, lottery tickets or raffle items or chances;novelty candy, novelty drinks, or alcoholic beverages of any kind to include those with Porsche type labels or shapes; stamps, artwork, post cards, watches, jewelry and brooches/pins, Tequipment, furniture, banners,..."

    I still think it's daft.
