I have a 1973 RSR recreation with a 95 993 3.6 motor, full coil overs, 2200lbs, finished in white with black scripts. Awesome car and incredibly fast.
I want an early hotrod. Would prefer a SWB car, but would consider interesting 69-73 also.
Here is the info on the RSR:
Body:
- Chassis was re-roofed from a non-sunroof donor skin
- Originally a 1974 chassis (NO SMOG issues in CA)IMG_1489.jpgIMG_1495.jpgIMG_1627.jpg
- Four areas of corrosion were addressed by welding in donor galvanized sheetmetal
-Factory seat mounts were removed to allow for fabrication of lowered seat mounts. Seat position has been lowered to accommodate tall drivers.
- Butt-welded Steel Turbo flares installed
- New factory Porsche early latch panel was installed and custom modified to allow for Setrab front oil cooler install
- Fiberglass Rennspeed front fenders installed and fitted with new replica turn signal housings and lenses
- Fiberglass Rennspeed Longhood
- Fiberglass 1973 Rennspeed front bumper was sectioned horizontally and extended vertically for perfect fitment to fenders and to allow for larger oil cooler
- Fiberglass 1973 Rennspeed rear bumper installed
- MAShaw fiberglass ducktail
- Original factory steel doors were dis-assembled, cleaned, manual window regulators replaced, and new felting installed in window tracks
- All new rubber seals including doors, window, door handle, and trunk seals
- New windshield installed
Interior:
A minimalist interior was the approach.
-Interior stripped of all sound deadening
-Custom bent roll bar manufactured from 1.75 OD x .120 DOM fully welded into chassis
-New Recaro Pole Position seats with Sparco sliders, attached to lowered seat mounts
- New GeForce 6 point harnesses installed
-Wevo 915 shifter, black anodized
-Electronic speedometer and oversize oil pressure light installed
-Full window width Wink rearview mirror
Core Suspension Components:
- New Bilstein RSR custom-valved coil-over struts and rear shocks
- Front spindles are raised 40mm and reinforced
- Overhauled aluminum trailing arms (new monoballs-new wheel bearings)
- New driveshafts installed
- New front mono-ball camber plates to allow for aggressive camber
- New ERP bump steer kit
- New Eibach coil-springs (front and rear)
- New Weltmiester front thru-body sway-bar installed
- New front ball joints
- New turbo tie-rods
- New CCW wheels 9x17 and 11.5x17
- New Kumho Ecsta XS tires 275-40-17 and 315-35-17
Brake Upgrade:
- Front and rear 993 Brembo brake calipers and new pads
- New Mercedes 23mm master cylinder installed
- New brakes hoses installed
- New Coleman 13 inch front rotors with custom hats
- New Factory 930 rear rotors
Transmission:
-Completely freshened 915 8:31 with all stock gear ratios
-Correctly repaired pinion shaft bearing race looseness by machining in new aluminum shim
-Replace all wear items including sliders, dogteeth, and synchros
-Factory installed ZF LSD
-Installed new differential carrier bearings
-New Sachs clutch kit
Engine:
-1995 993 3.6, completely stock, Carfax documented 58,000 mile
- Replaced front and rear main seals. Replaced all valve cover seals. Replaced oil thermostat o-rings.
- Installed new oil temp sensor.
- Installed PMS 3.6 conversion flywheel
-993 headers with Magnaflow exhaust
Engine Cooling:
-Setrab front mounted oil cooler
-Factory oil thermostat plumbed thru factory oil lines
