We used to say " that girl has balls" after watching her pedal the Sport Quattro on the Ulster Rally and the Circuit of Ireland. A superb driver.

Absolutely Curt! Not only that, she has always been the real deal. There is nobody more passionate about rallying than Michele. She's basically running the entire show these days (FIA Rally Manager).

Many forget she nearly won the 1982 World Rally Championship, just losing out to Walter Rohrl in an Opel, but beating all the other Audi drivers! Rohrl was on a mission to beat her and had said he wouldn't mind 2nd behind Mikkola, but not Mouton. "This is not because I doubt her capabilities as a driver, but because she is a woman!"

    Thumbs up

"This is not because I doubt her capabilities as a driver, but because she is a woman!"
Not to mention the names Mr. Unser used for her before coming out of retirement (the only reason he came out of retirement) to beat her previous year's Pike's Peak record......

I might have mentioned this before but...

Vintage Motorsports published an independent writer's retrospective on Bobby Unser, and the 'Unser Mountain' some years ago with what I thought was a outrageous omission of Michele Mouton... not one word... So I gave editor Randy Riggs a call and asked 'What the hell was that all about?'. Randy didn't formally apologize, however said it was indeed a gross omission in the article... and I was one of many calls/emails about the subject that month.....

    .... and so it goes

    P.S. - I love Michele Mouton

She certainly can drive but the film of her and the Nav driving at speed while not wearing a helmet is insane! something goes wrong and your head becomes a pinball on all of that non padded roll cage!

Don't worry; she's made it to age 62 in one piece.
