FS: 1969 912 Engine Motor REBUILT and 901 ZF LSD 5-spd Transmission

This is an offering for a 1969 Porsche 912 motor and 1969 901 ZF LSD 5-spd transmission.

Can be delivered to Southern CA in the next 2-3 weeks if organized before departure.

The quickest way to contact me is email, porschecabATcomcastDOTnet

I bought a 1969 912 from the wife of the original owner who passed away. He had had put a Type 4 race motor in his 912 while having this 912 motor built. It never got back into the car. You can see the pictures - pretty darned nice. It is not 100% complete, but what you see is included. The engine appears to have been rebuilt at a 'high level' and never run. What we do know is below.

    Engine - 616/40, #117023
Leakdown - each cylinder less than 2%
Crank Pressure - 110 with a stone cold engine

You will see the spacers - which I am told is likely for longer throw piston/cylinders. Also - crank pressure where it is could also indicate a more aggressive cam. Again, these are just assessments my mechanic (44 year Porsche shop owner, factory trained Porsche mechanic) has made by visually inspecting the motor while doing the leakdown/crank pressure tests. We don't want to crack the block to get all of the details inside. He feels this is a 'high end build' and that the motor has never been run. Engine has Gene Berg exhaust manifolds. Carburetors are Solex with Knecht air cleaners and bolts.

Not pictured, but included (I am into these bits and pieces right at $1,100 alone) with the motor will be:
EITHER a rebuilt 009 distributor or a rebuilt 061 distributor
    912 oil filter canister
    912 oil filler
    912 fuel pump
912 engine tin - complete and in great shape

    Transmission - 901 ZF LSD
    902/16
    5-speed synchronized transaxle
    Manufactured by Porsche (ZF)
    Gear Ratios:
    1st gear: 3.091 (A)
    2nd gear: 1.778 (GA)
    3rd gear: 1.217 (O)
    4th gear: 0.962 (U)
    5th gear: 0.793 (Z)
    Ring and Pinion: 4.83 (6:29)

Transmission has been in the car for the 2+ years I have driven it and it hasn't given us any issues. Shifts smoothly, no issues. New clutch and pressure plate.

$8,700. There aren't too many of these around to gauge pricing.

Priced for local pick up - contact me if shipping is required.
