    Struts/shocks question

How important is having the original type struts and shocks on an early S? I changed mine to the lowered Bilstein sports which work great. Not sure where the orig. struts even are today.

Are you planning on selling the car? If so, I'm sure that someone may be picky enough to notice the non-original struts.
If not, drive it as is (if you like the ride). The Koni vs Bilstein debate will go on forever.
(I've got Bilsteins on my car, but the front strut housings are painted to look like Konis.. shhhh )

what is the optical difference between the SWB boge 912/non S strut to the koni s strut-
i know they have different shocks inside but --can the difference be seen when mounted on the car without haveing a look in the trunk?

Not planning to sell anytime soon but also considering trying to assemble whatever original parts that are deemed important in case that day comes while I can still find them "reasonably" priced. It is a highly optioned (Targa, air, leather, am/fm, muffler skirt etc) no accidents, no rust, original engine/trans car in original color. Only changes are AC is in a box and the struts/shocks and SSI heat exchangers/SS muffler.
