    Help with Kardex for Werks delivered 1967 S

    My 1967 S is approaching the final stage of restoration. This week the completely revised engine and gearbox will be mounted.

    I managed to get a Kardex for this car and found out this car was a Werks delivered vehicle. First owner was a certain mister Lentz, at that time working as chief Porsche export in Stuttgart (so I was told by the person who delivered me the Kardex)
    But after that it gets exciting, because then it was transfered to Porsche KG for almost a year. Exactly the time that Porsche was doing experiments with the Porsche 911 R Prototypes. It has been in the test department for almost a year before it was transfered to Vaclav Polak. After that it came to Belgium and then it ended up in a dry storage in the Netherlands for 20 years, so there was virtually no rust on the car when I bought it two years ago.
    Since there was no engine in the car I started looking for one and found Porsche engine 960003, which is supposed to be the oldest known Porsche 911 S engine in the world.
    Anyway, now I come to my question: does anyone know what was written on the right side of the line where it says Porsche KG st'gart (looks like lt HH 25-4-67) and why the sequence of things that were done to the car (below) was not done top down, but the other way around?

    Thanks!

    Erik

    lt. HH > laut HH > according to HH
    maybe HH is a Name, Huschke von Hanstein (?).

    The date sequence is correct, it started on june 21, 1967 (top) and ends august 22, 1967 (down).
    While the first two lines cover details, after a space the following 5 infos cover Rep. (Reparaturen).

    Perhaps it was a company car given to one of the drivers that year...probably never know.

    Yes-yes . . . very interesting!

    Wagenbesitzer = car owners

    1) = Hxxxx Lentz
    2) = Porsche KG, Stuttgart
    3) = Verkauft aus (sold off) 30.Jul.68, Mr Vasek Polak, 914 Xxxxxx Place, Manhattan Beach, Calif

    And that 3rd entry contains what looks like an address? . . . . and not his Dealership's. I believe his stores were on Sepulveda, in Manhattan Beach ('till ~'64) then on PCH, in Hermosa, after

    That address? --- looks more like a residence . . . !

    why does the front trunk slam panel have an opening for a washer bottle like a 68 not a 67? The VP connection is pretty exiting.

    Händler = 'WE'

    I would try to identify the dealer of this car --- 'WE' on your Kardex. 'Händler' = 'dealer'

    There's a thread started on Händler Nrs . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ight=H%E4ndler

    The ones listed so far have numeric codes. Yours is different

    I'd e-mail Porsche Classic + ask for some help . . .
    classic-service@porsche.de

    HtH + good luck . . .

    . . . keep us posted?

    Thanks for the help. I know it's Vasek Polak, but it really looks like the name Vaclav Polak is written, maybe it was a relative, or a coincidence?

    About the '68 washer bottle opening: it has been corrected, was a not original part.

    I asked Porsche for help and when they respond I will let you know.

    Hans Hermann is also a possibility...

    Anyway on the Polak thing: usually cars were not delivered directly to a private adress I'm sure, so either this was a Porsche-dealer or it was one of the Polak people am I right?
