    W: '67 911S with non-matching engine (I have '67S engine #961683, Andial #140)

I have '67 911S engine #961683, which is also stamped "Andial 140" on the case near the engine number. It came out of a long-stored race car. Has anyone seen a case stamped by Andial like this?

If you have a '67 911S roller or with a non-S engine, I'm interested in buying it for fair market value. I also have the front fenders and rear quarters, hood, decklid, and windows to restore one that has been updated to impact bumpers or turned into a race car.

    Thanks,
    Jay

I would like to make a guess that what you have there is a rally kit engine. If you take a look at the alternator I expect it will be the 840W motorola like the one in an earlier thread http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...his-alternator.

Thanks for the link. Is there any more info on these "rally kit" engines produced by Andial?

It was a factory option to have a rally kit engine. Search here and you will find the modifications made, I don't have the document on this computer but it's been posted here many times before.

Andial must have rebuilt that engine at some stage. Neat to have that history stamped right on your case.
