    Steering Hub Question

Bought a new steering wheel with hub which was advertised to fit my '69. Problem is that when I install the hub with the centerline up as it indicates, I cannot get the wheel centered. The spline is either just one click to the left or one to the right. So I have it off and will try to reinstall where I get the wheel centered. Figured maybe just 90 degree swap. But part of this is when installed, it does not have the necessary part to reset the turn signal. This is a standard Momo hum for a Prototipo. Can someone fill me in on what part I am missing to allow for the turn signal reset? Any thoughts on how to get the wheel centered?

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)

Answering my own question, but posing another. I looked at the hub that fit the steering wheel that came off. There is a tab about 1" long that has the telltale signs of being the item that cancelled the turn signal. There is nothing obvious on the Momo hub nor what else I took off the old set up that even approximates this tab. Does anyone know if there is an adapter that is sold that would act in the same manner as the tab on the old hub?

Turn one tie rod one way, the other the exact same number of turns the other direction. That will allow you to center the wheel.

Think I have the centering thing worked out. Need to try to get the turn signal cancel function back in operation
