Alignment question.... this one is odd!

Well I have been playing around with trying to fit 15x8's on the rear of a
stock 71 body. I thought it was possible when I first fit them
as it looked like it was going to be easy with a touch of negative
    camber.

Next step was I installed the pass side and noticed the 8 inch wheel stuck out further
the drivers side by approx. 1/2 inch more. Odd but I thought it was just the toe setting was out
camber was off etc So I got the car on the hoist and I friend and I started to work lowering and tinkering with settings.

That is when we noticed that the side that was fitting (Driver side) the banana arm had a small crack that was repaired. Looked like it
had driven over something that cracked the mid point of the arm.
This got me thinking that maybe the pass side was not the issue and it was the drivers side that needed to be corrected.

Does anyone have any light on this everything on the car checks out other then this banana arm but when I took measurements it seems too close to be an issue? I am stuck on what to do to correct the alignment as I plan to go back to 7's all around but want it set up right.

Should I just get two new arms and start there??
    Hope someone can help.
    Cheers
    John
