    The rivets are original on your paint tag, so if you want to see original paint you could, very carefully, remove the paint tag for a look at the paint there. Another idea would be to remove the aluminum VIN tag if the rivets are original there also. That would be easier to take off than the paint tag.

    When you remove the lower left knee pad you should see black paint over original paint. You could also lightly sand off the paint there for a look at the paint. Sometimes the black paint can actually be peeled off around the hole the studs on the knee pad goes through.
