FS: 1972 Porsche 911T Targa Dalmation Blue

    1972 Porsche 911T Targa

Per the COA, this is a numbers matching Targa in the desirable color of Dalmatian Blue (35) with a nearly perfect black leatherette interior. The car came equipped with five Fuchs, Comfort Equipment, and front and rear stabilizer bars. The car retains all of the original equipment, including the factory toolkit. This Early 911 checks all the right boxes, great color, unmolested, all the correct trim, beautiful interior (including the pockets), proof of major mechanical work, 96k miles, and a recent full service. This is a western US car as evidenced by paperwork and it shows.

The car has an older repaint in the original color . There are several imperfections in the paint from rock chips and a door ding in the passenger door. The underside of the car is all original and in excellent condition with no signs of ever being involved in an accident or any evidence of rust and repair. Wheel wells are clean and also showing no signs or previous work. Both front and rear latch panels also appear original with no signs of repair. The Targa top is excellent as are all the seals. I have driven the car at highway speeds and it is quieter then some Coupes that I have owned. Both doors have the characteristic “ping” when closed. Gaps and panel fit is excellent, indicating a good tub and body.

As evidenced by a compression check that I just had completed along with a full service, the 2.4 MFI motor starts, idles, and runs perfectly. No leaks or issues. There is documentation showing a top end rebuild. The 915 gearbox shifts perfectly with no synchro issues. The car has received new Bridgestone tires and new brakes with rotors, calibers, and pads on the front and rear. The muffler and stainless steel SSI heat exchangers are also in very good condition.

The car is with me in New Hampshire for the summer and I will deliver free of charge within New England or close proximity. I can ship nationwide or overseas at the buyer’s expense.

Asking $52,000 or reasonable offers. Contact Keith at (561)267-1859 or keith@racectc.com

Based on the $225,000.00 R/S clone pricing isn't this car underpriced by about $50,000.00?

Ed, believe me when I say this. The only reason this thread even exists is because this is a targa. I am only interested in a coupe. This is so well priced that I am so tempted. Please sell this car fast. I can't bear to see it available for sale while I am in the market for an early car. Good luck for a fast and smooth sale Keith.
