    Spa Francorchamps, july 9th

As Jack told the start of the the (his) story from Switzerland to Versailles (see show your ride thread) to meet me to head to Spa Francorchamps, herafter the rest of the trip

We first met at Trianon Palace to have lunch, Jack needed to cool down after his visit to the Crubile Museum, on the terrasse under a beautiful sun. Philippe with his GT3RS4.0 joined us a bit later.
The lunch was such an interesting moment. one of us ordered a Nicoise salad (with no anchovies and olives....erhhh excuse me ), anither one seking wine vinegar and the waiter to respond : " Balsamic is good for your health Sir, we are in a Palace and Wine vinegar is not used in here"....great stuff. Howvere there migh be no wine vinegar is Palace, but lovely ladies everywhere.

We left the hotel to drive through the Boulevard Peripherique which was, of course, jamed; joined the highway A4 to Reims, and met Stephane at Charleville Mezieres of the National 51.

After our meeting point, we decided to get the curvy roads in "les Ardennes". We had a top in the forest to get a bit of fresh air as per no aircon in our aircooled engines : about 32C outside...
Jack, a nice pal , proposed me to testdrive for a while Trudi, which I accepted straight away. impression of everything oing real fast, an engine that covers rev between 4000 and 8000 in a sec...

we finally got to the Hotel de la Source at Francorchamps around 19:00, took our race pack, had lunch, got rest. Stress is raising up
Pascal and his 2.5 S/T arrived at 22:00 and joined us for diner. Jeremie with its 3.0 RS replica was a bit late at 1:00 am after spending a whole day at Bugatti race track in le Mans.

Woke up at 7:00, had a shower, got to the breakfast area, wait for the friends, started the engines heading to the track - lovely day, sunny day, warm day.
3hours and 30 minutes of track sessions under a heavy and sunny 35C temperature.

Trudi and I had a marvelous trip to Paris, to Spa and back to Switzerland. Brakekiller managed everything perfectly for us and I have to thank him again for that. The greatest moment was the discovery of Spa's track which is about 7km long and very difficult to manage, because of the slopes and the speed... The belgium event's manager made a briefing during he explained every curve and every mistake possible and it was a little bit scary! La Source and Blanchiemont are the most dangerous, because they are very fast and there 's no big release and there are some walls close to the track! But after some laps, the confidence was good enough to enjoy the track, which is absolutely exceptional. And Trudi showed very good skills for Spa... 900 kilos, 330 HP, 917's breaks and racing tires, that helps! With a better pilot, she could have been the queen of the meeting! But I'm not objective, of course…
    What a trip!
