    Finally

Just finished my motor...completed rebuilding and mounting the carbs today. Working 6 days a week leaves little time to move my project forward. I've been trying to do as much as I can myself. Getting closer though...Matching numbers 68 911 Normal aluminum case motor with my own personal touches...2.2 "E" PCs, Dougherty DC-30 S Mod cams and more...I went thru the Webers myself. I had never even pulled a 911 motor before. After 4 years I'm hoping to have this baby running by the end of next month...fingers crossed...

Looking good, congrats! What type of muffler are you using?

    Looks fantastic!
Did you do your fan yourself or have someone restore it for you?

    Sanitary!

What did you choose for tensioners?

    Thanks for the compliments.
The Muffler is a stainless M&K that I purchases slightly used from Dave at TRE. Still pretty expensive.
The fan I disassembled, cleaned and had the housing and fan media blasted...then powder coated and I reassembled it.
I decided against the Carrera tensioners and I went with the original setup. The new stock tensioners are stronger than the originals. I did some extensive reading on the subject and the Carrera tensioners aren't necessarily a better answer in the early motors. At least that's MHO.

Superb details. I've seen several of this guys previous cars and his workmanship is generally flawless. He also incorporates many tasteful personal touches that set his stuff apart.
