    Help identify this factory tool

I bought a job lot of P tools and found this included. It looks like it should be part of something but it's not in the factory special tool catalog that I can see.

The outer thread of the left piece mates with the inner thread of the right piece.

The inside thread fits the P298B rear wheel bearing installation tool so I thought it may be a replacement for P298 which is used to press out the rear wheel bearing. The minor diameter of the right piece is the same as the sleeve from the P298B.

Yep, that's it, thanks Jon. I will ask the bloke I bought it from if the missing piece is hanging around his garage.

    I got the regular timing tools P202, P203, P207, P214, and oil seal installation tools P215 & P216.

In the picture there are the more interesting tools.

    Nice tool set!
Are P202 cam holder, P203 crowfoot genuine Porsche pieces, similar to photos in tool book?

Thanks Jon, yes, all are original Porsche tools, not SIR or similar reproductions. The P202 is stamped as such on the handle and on the head has the foundry name "Matador" from memory. I'll see if I can get some good pics if interested.

Yes, Matador was an original manufacturer of Porsche tools, including early P202 cam holders.
