Did the email from Porsche Classic also list the other options which seem to be incorrect as usual on the COA. M432 was a 363mm leather sport steering in later years and M462 a Sekuriflex windscreen but in 1974 they were black '911' safety flashes on the bonnet and black Carrera script. I would also have expected chrome trim to have been listed unless it was changed out from the standard black look when it was converted to RS/RSR/slope nose whatever it was previously.

Thank you very much. "Perpetrators and Perpetuators".

A modern take on Sherman's "March to the Sea" is what they deserve.

    Hi Guy,

The quoted section is all the option information in the Porsche Classic email. I was certain several of the codes were incorrectly defined like so many other CoAs we see. They even used the wrong code for the color, which should be 009 (I believe).

    Thanks Brian,

009 would be the code on the plate inside the door but H2 is what Porsche used in the sales brochures.

The '019' type designator on the MFI pump has also been altered, the serial number above it starting 127 indicates it was produced in July 1971 so can't be a 019

The injection pump was rebuilt by Gus at Pacific Fuel Injection. Gus ALWAYS restamps the pump to match the space cam he uses. He's been doing that for decades.

So although this car has obvious originality issues, it is a good looking car , with at least a replica RS motor in some sort of a 74 chassis, painted in a really nice color (imho).
Whatt is it worth? At least equal to a clone or a replica or a tribute, or whatever the acceptable phrase is these days.

That depends on whether it turns out the engine was stolen or not. Can anyone tell if this is the 83 engine that was badly restamped the first time around?
