Oil Hose-Case to Oil Tank Install

Can you install the oil hose from the oil tank to the case with the heat exchanger in place? More specifically the fitting on the case (Drivers side long hose)? Or do I have to remove the heat exchanger to gain access? I've got the fitting started and is hand tight at this point. Any pointers or hints would be appreciated...

Been there done that. Here's a Pelican Thread I started, with the consensus that you've got to take the heat exchanger back off.
