    Repro 4487 lens

If anyone can tell me the difference between an NOS Bosch 4487 lens and the current repro lenses Id like to know. I can see no difference so why would an NOS lens be worth more than a repro?

I have a set of each. The only difference I can see is: the older one has the Bosch logo above the E 1 & the newer recently purchased one has a CR encircled in its place. I suppose this is for Czech Republic. Also, the diffusing seems to extend ever so slightly lower to the edge of the lens on the (older one with Bosch logo (=).

I have noticed that there are two types of originals, one with the Bosch trademark and one with cr which stands for high and low beam. The repro people took their mold from the latter.

These both have raised script. I thought the cr ones were not originals. I have no problem using them. They are of good quality. Thanks for clarifying the C R meaning. .....cliff
