FS: New Uber Lightweight Rear Calipers (for LWB cars)

Take a little weight off your rear end…

Weighing in at 2lbs. 12oz (vs. the stock 6lbs 12 oz.) you’ll shed the weight where you need it the least. Cast aluminum calipers feature DuroAno™ pistons and a DuroAno™ finish for decades of use and abuse. The cast aluminum alloy means you’ll save 8lbs. of un-sprung weight from the most ideal location on your 911… the rear. M8 fasteners guarantee a stout grip with .002” (less than a human hair) of flex recorded over stock. 38mm pistons and FSMI D31 pad size ensures ideal bias for your car (the last place you want to be biased heavy in a 911 is the rear… can you say “spin”?)

Calipers are in-stock and ready to ship. Only at PMB Performance. www.pmbperformance.com 855-STOP-101

$699.00 per "pair" plus shipping anywhere in the world.

    Pretty cool, Eric.

    Are these your own design/production?

Thanks Marco... only a slight variation on the originals. We designed them with larger hardware for two main reasons:

    1. To control flex in the caliper. StopTech does this with their larger alloys and it controls flex considerably over the mono-block design.
    2. The availability of M7 hardware made it a no-brainer to move up to a larger more accessible format.

We also incorporated the later "cup" (or... better yet, "shot glass") style piston for better cooling (more surface area) and less risk of knockback mechanism interference.

The DuroAno™ finish is a "Type III" coating that makes an aluminum surface harder than tool steel. Absolutely perfect for pistons and caliper bodies.

Sorry George, just through the SC range. That said, if the car has been lightened and is a dedicated track car you could move to a 20mm rotor in the rear. Same pad size, smaller piston, lighter rotor. At that point I would remove the Carrera's pressure regulator.
