    SWB Tire Sizes and Swapping

Anyone running a vintage tire like the Avon CR6ZZ 185/70/15 and swap them out for a lower profile auto-x tires come race day? Did you have to make some compromises in the suspension setup? My goal is to run the CR6ZZ on 5.5" Fuchs correct for my 68 and also run 205/50/15 BF Goodrich Rivals on 6" Fuchs.

I don't, but maybe I'm missing something! I take off the street tires and just stick on the Hoosier A-6's on 6" Fuchs.

I guess the better question is are you able to run an aggressive camber with a larger diameter classic style tire? The new Avon is 25.3" in diameter and a 205/50/15 is just over 23".

I've got the rear camber maxed out adjustment range wise at about -1 3/4 degree. The tread temperature indicates the Hoosier would like slightly more camber,,,,but it ain't gonna happen! After about 12,000 highway miles the Goodyear street tires aren't running off the inside tread very much more.
