    seeking original 911 L pics

    Folks,

I am looking for original pics of 911 L 1968, interior trim, interior of front lid and exterior mainly.
I am about to see a EURO 911 L, and wish to compare how it is original, before buying.
I know already the engine and paint are not.

    Thank for your support.
    All the best.

    Xavier,

Your best bet is to get hold of a 'white' '68 deluxe ROW brochure or a German or French drivers manual if you can.
Here are some '68 press pictures which may help.
The answer to the question you are about to ask is - yes, either basketweave or 'elephant hide' trim is correct for the '68 year !
Post some pics and we can say yes or no !

    HTH,
    Dennis.

    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.

With the exception of the missing rocker decos this car looks correct for a Euro 68 911L unlike a US 911L that looks like a 911S but with the 911 normal engine.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

what about the incorrect steering wheel (not only the horn button also the wheel itself), missing door pocket and later style window crank?...
