    Replacement pressure plate advice

    The guy at the clutch shop says my pressure plate is done for, and Sachs are no longer supplying the springs to rebuild them. He can get a VW bus clutch of the same dimensions and machine it for dowels but I'm thinking of an aftermarket pressure plate if I have to replace it.

    It's a 215mm for 67 911S. Does anyone have experience with either the Spec or Kennedy pressure plates?

    All advice and recommendations appreciated.

    Couldn't you just use the '65-69 non-S pressure plate ?

    - readily available new from many souces including ebay:

    Kennedy has a 215 aluminum foot Pp in stage 1 or stage 2. We have one in a 2.5 914-6 race car that is working well.

    I'm thinking that if I can't rebuild it then I would rather go for an aluminium PP.
