Getting ready to sell my 70s

I have a one owner 70s with 61k miles. All documentation etc. I bought the car in Virginia but the car spent most of it's life in San Diego. I had the car undercoated when new. I started cleaning the suspension but it's a long process. Interior is showroom fresh. Other than a wash and wax what if anything should I consider cleaning/restoring before listing. The car runs great.

    Thanks for the help,
    Spankie

I don't think that we've established the asking price.
Now you've ruined all the $60K offers

With all due respect I did not post this as a car for sale. I needed new tires and well the rims didn't shine like they used to. So I had Harvey redo them. Then the calipers didn't look so good so I had Eric redo them. Then the suspension did't look so good so I started to clean off the undercoating. It just goes on and on so I am asking myself where to stop.

    No offense intended.
How does the car look now? Unless things are in b-a-d shape, I'd say to leave them original and let the new owner decide what he/she wants to do. A premium is placed on originality and as you well know, resto activities aren't cheap.
IMO, unless you're trying to set a new sales high watermark, there's no reason to fully restore before putting it on the market.

PS- but seriously, how many messages have you gotten since posting?

If it runs great, it cleans up, and most everything works on it, then sell it. It doesn't have to be perfect when you sell it - most buyers are smart enough to know that a 40-year old car will need something.

with all due respect, the title of your thread starts with "getting ready to sell " ??so if its not a for sale ad...what is it?
at any rate, this thread is worthless without fotos!
