    Definitely repro leather. Here's what an original should look like. Note the horse detail, difference in 'PORSCHE' font, etc, etc.

    in the first foto you can see the tabs for the ring were left pointing up and have not been folded over closed. so defintely the ring has been removed
    to install another leather piece.
