    FS: 911S 2ltr Pistons and Cylinders 1967 S or L

Bought these some years ago as back up for when I was ready to build and Mahle was hit or miss for stocking these. Each time I looked they were out of stock.

Used. Condition from very good to one piston that looks like it was kissed by a valve. One pocket looks like someone was working on it.

Chipped fins on one cylinder. Look at the photos. They are what they are. $1200 + shipping.

FYI: The S and the L pistons are different.

Yup. The "S" was the factory hot rod in 1967-68

These 911S are a forged piston with 9.8:1 compression.

The L and normal (I believe) are a cast piston, and 9:1 compression.

I gave the cross reference as a come-on for those guys who want to upgrade....
Make a little more power with out major mods kind-a thing.

Are you saying they won't fit or won't work? Or just that they have less pocket size and depth, cast (rather than forged) and the rings are in a different location (two above and one below)?

It sure would be nice if Mahle would fill the pipeline again, last I heard they are still out of stock and when they do come in are $4000 ....ouch. If this helps get an engine built, rather than waiting it could be a good thing. I'm just putting these out there.

No they'll work. Just some people think the L and the S are the same when they're not.
