    PORSCHE or porsche Shop towel?

After looking for a shop towel for my tool kit I found a bunch of look a like towels, all claim to be OEM but what trigger me the most is the difference between Capital letters Vs lower case letters.
What is the correct one? or is it a year difference? I want the correct one for a 1971.

I've been told that these towels (while nice items) never actually came with the tool kits. If that's true, technically neither are correct. That said, I've got the "PORSCHE" one in my '73 kit.
I'm sure someone can chime in with info on when the different fonts were used. I believe the second one you show "Porsche", may here been a 356 item.

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that i have never seen anything from the factory with "Porsche" using lower case letters, on signs, or literature, or anything from the factory, or related to Porsche as a brand name (which I would expect a tool kit towel to be).

That said, I'm watching this thread anxiously to hear from the scholars. I was once told that the factory never included towels and that Chuck Stoddard began manufacturing them as a valuable addition to the tool kits (which they would be).

I love these arcane little discussions! Thank you.

This is what I beleive too.
Also, in any period Porsche Literature (Brochures, Accessoires folder etc.) the item was never shown, coded or mentioned.
I believe they first got reproduced in the 80ies. I too have one in my travel kit (but not in the tool kit), the one with PORSCHE.
