Thread: Annie (Warren's 73S Targa) going to paint

Annie (Warren's 73S Targa) going to paint

I've had Annie in the garage since around 2009 and have gradually been bolting on removed parts and untangling the mysteries Warren left us in his untimely death. I had intended to strip, straighten and paint the car myself, but work travel and other life demands take too much bandwidth. So, I made to decision to hire a pro. I'm dropping the engine/trans, pulling the rest of the interior and trim and trailering her to the shop in a couple of weeks. He wants her 3 - 6 months and she'll come back shiny and yellow. My excitement for Annie is officially reignited.

Here is a picture of the day I picked her up and another after she got her quarters back and cleaned up a bit.

Let me know if you need help sorting out the electrical system when she comes back. I owe it to Warren.

304 - thanks. Are you in DFW area?

Bob - finally making big progress!

First day disassembly - no rust under door sill plates. First door apart - fiddly as hell!

Ed - I'm gonna let the bodyman deal with the doors. Thanks very much for the offer. I'm dropping the engine/trans next weekend and need help assessing it's health. I'll give you a call. Thanks!

You have to love how easy an engine drop is.
