    Hockey Puck ring,

My 1966 Hockey Puck ring is in good condition BUT it is now brass in color. Has anyone re chromed this piece?
Is anyone doing a re-pop on these?

I had mine re-chromed for $30. There is a re-pop on Sierra Madre, if memory serves somewhere in the $150 range.

plus, the repops that i've seen aren't very good, but that's just my opinion. i'm not trying to be mean but to me, they just don't have the same 'authentic' quality.

You can have your ring re-chromed, this makes the most economical sense. Take good care of yuor ring. Porsche used three versions of the hockey puck over the years and the rings are not interchangeable.
Zuffenhaus makes a repo of the hockey puck, it uses the third and last ring configuration.

Currently having my original ring re-chromed right now. Only $40. I also got one of Ramon's repro leather pads, I think it's going to look really good!

Would you please share your sources? I have a few and would like to have them rechromed. TIA.

    Hi Andy

I picked up mine today. It came out perfect and only $30... But I'm in Australia - pretty sure you'll have a good plater or two over there

I got mine re-chromed locally: $45 but the outcome is great. Also got the leather from Ramon and it looks just perfect!

The last time I had a couple of these done at the local plater, it was around $25-$30. PM me if you need a source.

    Secret Handshake

Why is the info on the platers such a big secret? The secret handshake is difficult to do over the computer.
