Car maintenance / history software?

Luckily my car came with a large amount of maintenance receipts and I'm looking for a piece of software where I can input all of these records to build a maintenance database, anybody use something like that?

I'm not using a dedicated program for the purpose, but using Evernote.

It's cross platform, easily takes in different types of files, and with an add on, clips from the web.

It syncs to the cloud, and has good search capabilities.

I've just used a simple spreadsheet. Adding scanned receipts adds a level of complexity, particularly if you want to index or search against the contents of the documents. Depending on your willingness to experiment with software, it's certainly something that can be done.

I recently purchased an iPhone app called Scanner Pro based on the recommendation of a colleague whose judgement I trust. http://readdle.com/products/scannerpro/ I haven't used it yet, but if my bank will accept an iPhone photo of a check, there's no reason this wouldn't work to produce useful scans quickly.

The photo > PDF > searchable text workflow may be a bit more complicated, but all the pieces exist to do it well. Interesting problem. I'm going to experiment a bit while I'm on vacation...
