    Rear Axle - which year is this one correct for?

    Hi,

    I have bought this rear axle in a package with other parts and do not have any information about it. Which year is this correct for?

    That would be referred to in the US as either a "[rear] trailing arm" or "banana arm". I *think* it is a short wheelbase arm. It is certainly a steel arm so it is from 1973 or earlier.

    SWB - 1965-1968 and from a car fitted with a rear sway bar.

    The number shown is the forging number rather than the part number.

    Quite different to the later arms particularly the bearing arrangement.

    Early Banana arm from 1968 on down. Starting in 1969 Porsche went to a longer wheelbase and changed the rear arms.
