    FS: 67-69 Targa Top

    ** SOLD **

This is off of a '68 SWT. It's in solid condition with all the bits - a good core for restoring.

Email sent, I thought 67-68 were the same and 69 was different? Interested though.

    Casey...

I'm not certain personally. I showed pictures of it yesterday to Dan Petchel, a Targa top restorer, and he advised it's a '67-'69. Sold with a PM just prior to your inquiry. There's a similar one currently listed on eBay.

The 2 latches are worth more than the asking price of the whole top!

    Ciao

The person who told me it was a '67-'69 offered me $100 for the top. I think he's been watching too much American Pickers.

John sorry I missed out. I still have a question and maybe Jim or someone else can answer it. What year did they stop applying vinyl over the back hinged bars. The one John was selling had no vinyl and the one on ebay had vinyl.

Also I wasn't the $100 low baller! I'd kind of feel bad only paying $275.

I'll do you one better: The handles are worth as much as what top sold for.

I guess the top could have fetched a bit more but I'm delighted with the sale as the top went to a good friend and fellow enthusiast.

I'm not sure about the vinyl. Hopefully not too important as this is only intended to be a core. And no, you weren't the one who offered me $100.

The side seals look to be LWB, the early side seals are narrow and sit over a molding piece like the one in Casey's post.
