    Shroud Identification and Assistance

    Hi All

The engine shround that came on my "69E is obviously not the correct one, but will have to suffice until I source the proper one. Can I get some help identifying which shroud I have as well as the following questions:
    1) Should it have some type of internal air deflection componentry?
    2) Why is the fit so bad to the oil cooler shoud? I'm assuming both of these parts were sourced independently from different cars.

If anyone knows the wherabouts of a '69 E shroud....

    Thanks
    Darren

Loos like a modified SC/Turbo shroud with a hacked off early, long, grey air shroud for the oil cooler.

The fan shroud and air tin inside it are OK - someone just opened up the injector holes. The alternator air guide meets up with the tin that's riveted to the shroud to duct the air to the cooler. The great piece is a cut-off from an earlier shroud. The right piece is readily available.

Tom, don't forget that he needs the gray, plastic air guide for the cooler.

The 2.0 engines did not use either the grey alternator airflow guide or the grey oil cooler flow guide. The 2.0 engines used an airflow guide riveted to the inside of the shroud and a small sheet metal piece to guide air over the cooler. See the attached diagram from the PET

That's right. I forgot he was looking for the 69E shroud. I thought he was going to re-use the red one he currently has... ops:

The air guide is two pieces of fiberglass with a flat metal plate riveted to them.
The entire assembly uses 3 rivets on each side to attach it to the shroud.

The new cooling assembly shows up on the 2.2 cars and was riveted to the shroud. Here is one that Damon Josz (Series 900) made.

PS: Tom is a good bet for an original. They aren't easy to find in good condition. Most are cracked, beat up and plain worn out by now.
