with all the red 3.2 Carrera's zooming around with those ugly accordion bumperss lol..
The times have done a 180... Red and Blacks are the i guess so colors and everyone wants those awesome 1970s colors now..

Frank, I really think you're onto something...

I've been following later 80's SC/Carreras and some very nice low mileage examples, Guards Red of course, have languished at what I thought were fair prices.

    Go figure?

    Frank,
I can't put my finger on exactly what is influencing my thinking, but I am seriously considering repainting my Signal Red '65 in a colour other than red.
I have a friend with a Polo Red example which is a beautiful car however unlike curtisaa, I am classing them together.

As I started searching for an early 11 I told to myself absolutely
no red, black or silver or metallic paint. For me the signal colors epitomizes the
70's cars (especially 70-73) as much as the
guards red is for the '80s whale tail/tea tray
    G series cars.

A car is only as good as it's bones. I'm not buying it for the next guy. Color blind by choice.

    Agreed, subscribed, and on board.

I drive , buy, and keep the ones I like, with the color near to or at the bottom of the list.

    Fashion comes and goes.

I even saved my "Earth Shoes" I was married in. Don't wear them everyday, in fact I don't think I have even put them on since 1976 , but they aren't going anywhere soon.

Maybe I'll request I be buried in 'em......

( some may even say they are a bit Sepia toned )
