Future value of 1974-1975 US Carrera's

I have a chance to buy a 1975 CIS US model Carrera for a reasonable cost.

What is the consensus on the future/near future value of these cars?

What is an average condition car with matching serial numbers worth these days?

Are they the next sleeper cars to take off?

    Thanks for your opinions

I think if you search here, there have been some good posts on US and ROW Carreras, and values, thoughts. I've seen mostly in $50k-$60k range. I like the cars a lot and figure (unprofessionally) they'll (US cars) appreciate but maybe not as well as some of the other eras like ROW Carreras or long hoods. I've heard a lot more speculation lately about SC values rising. Maybe due to stigma?

Get them while you can. They are quietly moving into the $60k range.

Wow, nuts is right. Nothing more than a 2.7 CIS 911S that has some superficial augmentation. Honestly, where is the intrinsic value here?

If these cars are really bringing 50+ then we are headed toward a fall. Jesus come quickly.

From what I can tell there were only 395 coupes produced in 1975. I suppose that fact alone makes it a pretty rare car .
Whether it is desirable or valuable is still up in the air.

It's not nuts at all. Euro 2.7 Carrera's are well over $100k. 3.0 Carrera's and SC's are on the rise. It costs almost the same to restore a US Carrera than a 73S or an RS Carrera. All of these cars will be jumping in value following in the footsteps of these "premium" models.
There is a new generation of 911 buyers looking for 70's and 80's 911s. Some models are a relative bargain right now.

2.7 CIS was the WORST 911 motor Porsche ever built, until of course the M96 forever bumped it from its pedestal.

Now, having said that it's nothing that a $13k rebuild won't fix.

Yes, but doesn't that mean that even fewer matching numbers, correct 74-75 Carreras exist today, therefore in casing values on the good ones? With every 911 I've ever bought, my brother asks 'but is it a carrera?' The only factor in his mind is the car he lusted after in his youth was an impact bumper carrera, nothing else qualifies. Obviously, he's not a discriminating buyer, but it does show the impression made back in the mid 70's about this exclusive group of cars.
