    Have a Seat

I installed my seats today. These are a pair of Scheel 400 Rallys that I had reupholstered to match the rest of the original color and style interior. Note headrest delete. These were quite a chore to rebuild. The recliner covers are plastic and act as a recliner lever stop. The plastic recliner covers were cracked in several places on both seats. I lined the inner cracked plastic runs with thin aluminum strips (hidden) and epoxied the strips to the plastic covers so the recliner lever mechanism would function as designed. Really a poor design using plastic for the recliner lever. I bought these seats right here from the Early S classifieds for $300 back in 2009.
