    67 911S Weber jets

I have a 67S in the shop to do a few minor maintenance projects. The customer said he can't get over 6K out of the engine. Car isn't driven much.
Question: Carbs are set up as follows:

    Weber 40IDA 3C
    Venturi: 32
    Main: 150
    Air Correction: 185
    Idle: 65
    Idle bleed 110
    Emusion: F-3

Spec for the S per factory manual
    Venturi: 32
    Main: 135
    Air Correction: 170
    idle jet: 55
    idle bleed: 110
    Emulsion: F-26

Engine is running rich, no CDI

Any suggestions on what the current thinking is regarding the set up on these webers in early S application will be appreciated.

    Thank,

    Rusty

PS: just purchased a 71E that was on Ebay, Tangerine project, can't wait

Step 1 - check that you are getting full throttle.

The earliest 911S with IDAS used F26 emulsion tubes but IDS used F3 (and 125 mains). Make sure the float level is checked but the main and idle jets are probably too big. A CD ignition will make a better driving car with less plug fouling.

The second set of data is for the IDAs before the IDS carbs were developed. The jetting is good as stated but keep the F3s in lieu of the F26 E-tubes. Jetting in first set of data is really rich, perhaps masking another issue like worn carbs leaking air.

Beyond that the float levels must be set with the engine running and a fuel supply pressure of 3.5 psi. Adjust side-to-side air flow balance at 3000 RPM with a helper holding throttle pedal so linkage is adjusted with correct forces activating throttle cross bar.

Thanks guys. A good source for weber parts? I'd like to get the mains and air correction jets for both carbs. Per suggestion I"ll stay with the F-3s

    Thanks again,
    Rusty
