    Angry STOLEN: 1964 356C Coupe Blue San Pedro

    Edit: Posted too hastily- the car's a '65, not a '64. He's had it since '64.

    Heard about on 356 Registry: http://porsche356registry.org/356talk/1/34062.html
    Covered here on Petrolicious: http://www.petrolicious.com/meet-the...er?rel=1234567

    VIN No. = 220286
    Eng No. = 71566
    Plates= WPN II
    Color= Bali Blue
    Interior= Fawn vinyl

    The owner has had it since new and has racked up 980k miles.

    Let's see if we can't spread the word.

    Here's his original text:

    "Hello all,

    I need your help. My 356C was stolen on Friday evening. It is the "Million Mile" car featured on pages 38/9 of this month's magazine.

    I have had this car since 1964. "Blue" is part of the family.

    There is a reward for information leading to its return. If you hear of anything please contact our local police station - 310-726-7700

    Thanks for your help.

    Guy Newmark"

    Car was found last night with no damage other than some cut wires.

    I cannot know how devastating it was to realize that it was gone, but I can at least partially understand how incredible it must have been to get it back.

    The woman who called it in said she heard about it from some post on the Internet.

    Whew! --- what a relief . . . . . lucky-lucky

    I used to pull the rotor out of my Roadster, whenever I parked her. And shut-off the gas. Never really trusted the steering wheel locker-thingie

    Might be time for a tracker. Or LoJack
