    Since you have this out, do you see any plastic sliders installed on the rails or is it steel to steel contact? Sorry just taking advantage that you have this out and accessible.

    David ,I wondered the exact same until I had a few of these dismantled, no plastic but a liberal helping of a quality wheel bearing grease seems to do the trick..
    Any residue of bearing grease or lubricant removed during blasting but as I recall that's all I've seen on them, Bert
