i have the brake Sheets for a 1967S now yellow chromalized but some say they should be painted black .

Bummer Franz, yours look great, but I'm afraid SWB cars are black!

Franz: what are those mounting brackets? Are they specific to the "S"? They look different than those specified for the Normal. And as Ed correctly says they should be semigloss black.

yep they are swb 911s/911L specific(euro only? ) also the sheet is different for better airflow for the vented rotors)
no big deal to make them semiglossy black....i anyway have to powder coat some other parts comming week.

    thanks for helping

    Franz,

Would you have some other pictures of this black bracket holding the caliper? What is it made of??? Steel or Aluminium?

    Thanks a lot!

Not sure about black, these are original off my '68 TR (May/June '68 build), maybe they changed for '68 model year?

i assume it is forged steel but it is the same as on all swbs i have seen the non vented cars have 4 mounting Points for the plate the vented ones only 3... have a look at the spare part catalouge 602-00 part 6
