I can't seem to find a formula for Polo Red other than Glasurit??
Is there a formula out there for PPG or any of the other readily available (less expensive) paints?
Thanks -

The last polo red car we painted we used standox solid. It comes from their commercial range standofleet (spelling?)

Last I heard Standox was no longer offering single stage paint -- best to check.

Glasurit colors are sometimes a poor match to original. My Ruby red 61 roadster looked more Gaurds red than Ruby using their formula.
I just had my car painted Polo Red. My friend is a Porsche guy and he spent time finding the correct color. I'll get the formula or source from him and post it.

Here's another shot showing the correct shade:

Polorot =6802 : From the Glasurit painters book this color is really an icon Porsche color.

Surely the mixing formula for a paint will not transfer from one paint manufacturer to another.
The type of paint is the major issue as 2K paints are becoming harder to find as the range of tints being offered is reducing all the time.
The Glasurit 22 Line seems quite good but the 68 line is more of a Truck paint.
If you can find a supplier of Octoral Paint they seem to have a good range of early 911 colours in 2K
Here is a another pic
plus another standox
Also used Octoral plenty of times. Here is another we painted in Octoral (Dolphin Grey)
