    118 Hella reflector

In need of good Hella 118 reflectors, I noticed some of those zillion candlepower flashlights have reflectors about the same size as the Hella and use H3 bulbs. I ground off the reflector lip to get the outer perimeter flat and used the normal gasket between glass and reflector. Not for the purist I guess but cheep(intentional misspell, spelling police, you know hoo yoo arr) and eezy. they could probably also be used to spruce up TN4 lights and convert them to H3.

Cool! Sounds like a perfect solution for the few of us that actually use these for the light they produce! Do they give a decent amount of light? Am contemplating using these with some yellow LED instead of bulbs during a night race.

I haven't used them yet but they will probably have a more concentrated beam than original, you can get higher wattage H3 bulbs if you want more intense light.
