Italian Spec vs US Spec 911S?

Friend of mine has an Italian spec 73S. Has plastic gas tank, no hazard light switch, radio delete and never had seat belts installed. Just curious what other differences there are between and Italian spec and US spec 2.4 S?

I have the same car. And NO headrests, just plastic plugs where they would go in.

Italian delivered cars usually have an "M" in the chassis box next to the usual letter E & F in 1972 & 1973; although it may have started earlier and ended later.

My 1972 Porsche 911 S is being restored at present. Before I sent the car off to 9M for a full job two years ago I removed the metal ID plate in case it got lost. My COA and also a letter from Porsche in 1990 says my car was Italian and Bolonga delivered, however my plate does not have the little M referred to above, it also has hazzard warning flasher switch and standard Euro lenses. I cant find the history of my car before it came to the UK circa 1982 but maybe the differences above can be explained if the first owner was not Italian and intended taking it from Italy afterwards ? Deff no little M on the plate.
How should I clean the plate, or should I just leave it as it is ( it s dulled, and lovely and shiney on the reverse side ! ). And do I use normal rivets to put it back on. I will try post a photo of my plate tomorrow. My car was built on 14 Feb 1972 and is 9112300614
