    German Porsche Events

Can any of the German or Euro participants on this site suggest any interesting Porsche, or other car events happening on the weekend of Sept 14-15 in Germany - in particular in the Frankfurt/Stuttgart/Koblenz/Koln areas? I will be on travel there and am interested in finding some car centric distraction for the weekend (I know IAA is on).

    Thanks

I think there is a transaxle meeting somewhere that weekend.
while you're in Frankfurt you could check http://www.klassikstadt.com/
    and http://www.central-garage.de/
ChristianS from this forum should know more places to go as he's a local.

However you can check in the calendar of Oldtimer Markt if there is something else for you.
In the Postleitzahl Gebiet you could also check for 7 (Stuttgart) and 5(Koblenz)

Yes. Thanks. Keep the input coming.

I will see IAA during the week. I will check for the museum 50 year event. That would be cool.

What I am interested in is older Porsche club or track events or other vintage car stuff.

    Thanks

Check out Hockenheim Classics. It's not a Porsche only event and I haven't be there, but sounds not to bad:

I ended up thinking there was a Sunday race at the modern Nurburgring track and so found my way out there. However, the race was on Saturday.

The good news was the Nordschleife was open for public consumption. Oh my!!!

There was an amazing array of fantastic cars with the majority being Porsches (my bias). GT3 RSs were in great supply. I was taking pictures of a GT3 4 Liter RS car and telling my buddy how rare they were... he says to me... if they are so rare, why are there 2 more over there. Wow.

The laps were great in the rental car but it would have been a whole lot more fun in a 4 liter. If you are ever in this part of Germany it is more than worth the visit.
