Engine rebuild advice: recommendation for shop

I live in Los Angeles. What are some good shops to do a complete teardown and rebuild for a '73 S. Am sensitive to the expense, but don't want to cut corners. Do want the best possible job (who doesn't)? I know of TLG. Others to consider?

TLG would be my choice....a '73S engine should not just be rebuilt, but restored also and they know what's proper.

Callas Rennsport in Torrance is also pretty damn good.

I have huge admiration for Mike Callas here in Texas. I think the Torrance Rennsport is his son. If he has even half his old man's knowledge he'd be a great choice.

I did not know he had a son! Mike rebuilt my engine earlier this year. If his boy is like his father, you're in excellent, honest hands.

Yes, Tony Callas (Mike's son) does a lot of 911 R work. He's currently working on 2 of them......

Been taking my cars there for 17+ years and have been very happy with their work.

I'll have to plug Aase Motors in Fullerton. Our family has had 7 race motors built by them. All perfect.
    Thanks,
