    Anyone tried these?

I just removed the tea strainer filters from my Webers. There has been some chatter about running rich and a slight horsepower loss when running the this type of screen/filter. Although my car was running fine with them, I decided to buy a set of the new BBR dome filters and see if I will notice any difference. These new filters have been dyno tested and recorded zero horsepower loss and eliminate the pitfalls of the tea strainers. The tea strainers are on the right and the new BBR filters are installed on the Webers.

The proper ones have a bigger area of mesh so that the airflow is not choked. The tea strainers (and the hex expanded metal) restrict the flow a lot more.
