Hanging out with the other longhoods....911 50th Anniversary Oregon Region style.

A picturesque beautiful day in Oregon in the Columbia Gorge.
Began with a short jaunt east up I-84, across the Bridge of the Gods from Oregon into Washington and finally into Skamania Lodge.

Approx 140 911's from the mid 60's all the way up to the latest 2013 models were spread out on Skamania's driving range.
I was camped out with the other 69-73 longhoods.

    Many, many great cars.
I think there were at least half a dozen super nice S's just in my group alone.
There was a people's choice for each of the groups: 1963-68, 1969-73, 1974-82....

Here are some pics of some of the cars in my group with the green monster (coined by one of the spectators) at the end.

    Nice surroundings!

Could someone please tell me which shades of white the two cars in pics 2 and 3 are painted in? Light Ivory and Ivory? Grand Prix and Ivory?

Looks like Light Ivory and Ivory to me. Picture 4 looks like it shows Grand Prix White, Light Ivory and Ivory in that order.

But whites are always notoriously hard to get right… I’ve never seen two Light Ivory cars stand next to each other and look exactly the same because even a simple polish and detail can make it look like an entirely different colour. The differences are so subtle!

Just looking at the car in Picture 3 it seems like Light Ivory is already extremely bright, but then you compare it with the Targa in Picture 4 and suddenly the difference is very obvious.

Looks great Doug. I should have brought the ST but just too much going on this weekend. We'll get a drive on soon.
