    exterior lighting wiring question

I am redoing my front wiring harness and incorporating some driving lights and fog lights.

Assuming that this is the way I want to wire the circuits:

what is the best way to connect all the wires that supply power from the battery? A terminal block would be the best, but I want a factory look. I think Kenik cut down an fuse box. I want to do something along those lines, but something more finished because I do not want to put it in the smugglers box like he did.

Maybe I could make up a harness that uses butt splices like this:

and have a single wire connected to the battery terminal that goes into the butt splice and then four wires that come out of it. Any reason I can't/shouldn't do this? Other ideas welcome.

I'd like to hear from people that have experience making up custom harnesses, if possible. TIA.

There ya go Bill, now we're talking!! very neat, and electrically sound. Seriously I wish I counted all the times that I have finally traced electrical problems to butt connectors, scotch locks, wire t-taps, and best of all bare wires wrapped together then wrapped with electrical tape.
